This event tracks the price of Solana (SOL) on July 8, 2026 at 5pm EDT using CF Benchmarks' official Real Time Index, divided into specific price ranges. The market resolves based on the simple average of 60 seconds of pricing data collected immediately before the specified time.
Resolution is determined by the simple average of CF Benchmarks' SOLUSD_RTI over a 60-second window immediately preceding 5 PM EDT on July 8, 2026. Each outcome represents a distinct price band, and exactly one outcome resolves to Yes based on where the averaged price falls. If data is unavailable or incomplete at expiration, affected outcomes resolve to No. The CF Benchmarks Real-Time Index provides continuous pricing aggregated from major cryptocurrency exchanges.
Prediction market odds reflect what traders are willing to stake on specific price ranges, which often diverges from spot prices or analyst forecasts. While spot markets react to immediate supply and demand, this market aggregates forward-looking sentiment over weeks or months. Traders here are pricing in volatility, macro trends, and event risk through their collective bets. The odds you see represent a crowd-sourced probability distribution rather than a single price point, offering a different lens than traditional technical or fundamental analysis.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each SOL price range. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each bracket has its own implied probability, and the sum of all probabilities equals 100 percent. As new trades flow in, prices adjust to reflect updated consensus. The tighter the bid-ask spread on a given range, the more confident the market is in that outcome; wider spreads signal uncertainty or lower liquidity in that bracket.
This market resolves around Jul 8, 2026, at which point the SOL price will be verified against credible public sources to determine which range bracket is correct. The outcome is locked in once the event occurs and the data is confirmed. All shares corresponding to the winning range pay out in full, while all other positions expire worthless. Resolution is final and non-negotiable once the timestamp passes and the price is established.
Major catalysts for this market include Solana network upgrades, changes in validator economics, shifts in broader crypto sentiment, and macroeconomic policy announcements. Regulatory news affecting staking or DeFi protocols on Solana can also swing odds significantly. Bitcoin and Ethereum price movements often correlate with SOL, so moves in the larger market cap assets ripple through altcoin expectations. Technical developments, exchange listings, or major partnerships could reshape trader positioning as the resolution date approaches.
