These markets track the spot price of silver on June 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT, with each market testing whether the price closes above a specific threshold ranging from $53 to $62.75 per troy ounce. The settlement uses the closing price of the 1-minute candlestick at that exact time, rounded to two decimal places.
Resolution is determined by the closing price of the 1-minute candlestick for silver at 5:00 PM EDT on June 30, 2026, measured in USD per troy ounce. The closing price for a candlestick timestamped at a given time reflects the price at the end of the immediately preceding one-minute interval—for example, the candlestick timestamped 4:59 PM captures trading activity from 4:59:00 PM to 4:59:59 PM and closes at 5:00:00 PM. All settlement values are rounded to the nearest two decimal places. If no data is published by the specified source agency at the designated time, the most recently available published data will be used for resolution. Each market resolves to Yes if the closing price exceeds its respective price threshold.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than individual expert opinion. Traders in this market are financially motivated to price in all available information about commodity trends, geopolitical factors, and supply-demand dynamics. While financial analysts may publish price targets based on fundamental analysis, the market odds represent a collective bet from thousands of participants. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight which factors the crowd is pricing in that analysts may have overlooked or weighted differently.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing yes or no outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the implied probability that silver will close above 53.50 USD per troy ounce on the settlement date. As new trades execute, the price updates in real time, allowing the market to incorporate breaking news, economic data, and shifts in trader sentiment. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how tight the bid-ask spread remains throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the silver closing price for that date and time is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether the spot price of silver closes above or below the 53.50 USD per troy ounce threshold at exactly 5:00 PM EDT. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout once the settlement price is confirmed and the market is officially closed. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the market end time, pending price data verification.
Silver prices are sensitive to broad macroeconomic shifts, including changes in interest rates, US dollar strength, and inflation expectations. Industrial demand from electronics and solar manufacturing, as well as investment flows into precious metals during periods of uncertainty, can significantly impact the price. Geopolitical tensions, central bank policy announcements, and mining supply disruptions are also key catalysts. Additionally, shifts in real yields and competing asset valuations may drive traders to adjust their positions, causing odds in this market to fluctuate as the settlement date approaches.
