This market tracks the Shiba Inu (SHIB) cryptocurrency price range at 5 PM EDT on June 16, 2026. Traders can bet on whether SHIB will fall within specific price bands, from below $0.0000005 to above $0.0000135. The price is determined by averaging 60 seconds of CF Benchmarks' real-time index data.
The market resolves based on the simple average of 60 seconds of CF Benchmarks' Shiba Inu-Dollar Spot Rate (SHIBUSD_RTI) prices collected immediately before 5 PM EDT on June 16, 2026. Each outcome specifies a price range; if the average price falls within that range, the market resolves to Yes. At the last minute before expiration, 60 RTI prices are collected and averaged to determine the official final value. If data is unavailable or incomplete, affected strikes resolve to No.
Prediction market odds on this contract often diverge from spot price alone because they embed forward-looking sentiment, volatility expectations, and tail-risk premiums that simple current pricing may not capture. While spot markets react to immediate supply and demand, this market aggregates trader conviction about where SHIB will settle months ahead. Comparing the implied probabilities here to analyst forecasts or on-chain metrics can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in bullish momentum, bearish pressure, or range-bound consolidation. Such gaps sometimes signal opportunities for informed traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts corresponding to different SHIB price ranges. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome contract trades independently, and the bid-ask spread reflects the market's confidence in that bracket. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down. The final odds you see represent the collective valuation of all active orders, with deeper liquidity typically narrowing spreads and improving price discovery for participants entering or exiting positions.
This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning bracket is determined by where SHIB trades at the specified time, and all positions are settled accordingly. Traders holding contracts in the correct price range receive their payout, while other positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the deadline once the final price is locked in and verified.
Major catalysts for this market include regulatory announcements affecting crypto broadly, shifts in Bitcoin or Ethereum sentiment that influence altcoin appetite, and any Shiba Inu ecosystem developments such as burns, exchange listings, or protocol upgrades. Macroeconomic events—interest rate decisions, inflation data, or risk-on sentiment swings—can also reshape trader positioning. Social media momentum and whale wallet activity may drive short-term volatility, while technical chart patterns and support-resistance levels often anchor trader expectations. Monitoring on-chain metrics, developer updates, and broader market structure will help participants anticipate directional moves.
