This event determines which price range Shiba Inu falls into at 5pm EDT on June 14, 2026. It divides the price spectrum into 28 consecutive bands to identify the exact range where SHIB's price settles.
Resolution is based on the simple average of CF Benchmarks' SHIBUSD_RTI over the 60 seconds immediately preceding 5 PM EDT on June 14, 2026. The price is matched to one of 28 consecutive price bands, each spanning approximately 0.0000005. Only one outcome resolves to Yes based on which band contains the averaged price. If data is unavailable or incomplete at expiration, affected outcomes resolve to No. The CF Benchmarks Real-Time Index provides continuous pricing data for Shiba Inu.
Prediction market odds often diverge from spot price because they embed forward-looking sentiment and uncertainty. While the current Shiba Inu spot price reflects immediate supply and demand, this market prices in trader expectations about where SHIB will settle months ahead. Prediction markets tend to be more volatile than spot prices during periods of high uncertainty, and they can signal whether the crowd expects appreciation, depreciation, or consolidation. Comparing the implied price range from market odds to analyst forecasts reveals whether traders are pricing in bullish or bearish catalysts for the cryptocurrency.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to different price ranges for Shiba Inu. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome represents a discrete price band, and the cost of a share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. As traders place bids and offers, the price of each range adjusts in real time. The tighter the spread between buy and sell orders, the more confident the market consensus; wider spreads indicate disagreement about where SHIB will ultimately settle.
This market resolves around Jun 14, 2026, at which point the final Shiba Inu price is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which price range SHIB occupies at that specific moment, and all shares corresponding to the correct range are paid out at full value. Shares in incorrect ranges expire worthless. Resolution is automatic once the price data is confirmed, ensuring all participants receive their payouts based on the market's accuracy in predicting the actual settlement price.
Major catalysts for this market include regulatory announcements affecting cryptocurrency broadly, Shiba Inu ecosystem developments such as Shibarium upgrades or token burns, macroeconomic shifts in risk appetite, and Bitcoin or Ethereum price movements that typically correlate with altcoin sentiment. Exchange listings or delistings, whale wallet activity, and social media momentum can also drive short-term volatility. Broader crypto market sentiment, Federal Reserve policy changes, and institutional adoption trends will influence trader positioning as the June 2026 resolution date approaches. Technical levels and historical support or resistance zones may anchor trader expectations.
