Prediction market odds often differ from traditional polling averages due to trader sentiment, betting behavior, and risk preferences. While polls may show a candidate leading by a certain margin, this market reflects a different kind of forecasting where financial stakes influence outcomes. Traders may price in factors beyond poll numbers, such as campaign momentum or economic conditions, which can create divergence between the two methods.
This market resolves around May 1, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the election results are verifiable from credible public reporting. The winner is determined by official vote tallies, and the market settles accordingly. Timing depends on when final, authoritative results are announced and confirmed by reliable news sources and electoral authorities.
Key events such as debate performance, polling shifts, campaign financing news, or major endorsements can move this market. Economic announcements, local issues gaining national attention, or controversies involving candidates may also influence trader sentiment. As the election approaches, any significant change in voter sentiment or campaign dynamics is likely to cause price adjustments on Polymarket.
