Parliamentary elections to elect the Landtag of Sachsen-Anhalt are scheduled to take place on September 6, 2026. This market will resolve to “SPD” if SPD wins more valid second votes (Zweitstimme) than BSW in the specified election. This market will resolve to “BSW” if BSW wins more valid second votes (Zweitstimme) than SPD in the specified election. This market will resolve 50-50 if both SPD and BSW receive exactly the same number of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) in the specified election. This market will resolve solely based on the number of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) won by each specified party. Valid second votes will be counted only where the State Returning Officer of Sachsen-Anhalt (Landeswahlleiter Sachsen-Anhalt) attributes them to the aforementioned parties. Votes attributed to other parties or electoral designations will not count, regardless of electoral cooperation, endorsements, coalition agreements, or subsequent parliamentary-group arrangements. If either party formally merges into a successor party before the election and does not contest separately, this market will resolve 50-50. If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50. This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as published on the official website of the Landtag of Sachsen-Anhalt (https://www.landtag.sachsen-anhalt.de/).

Prediction market odds often reflect a different outlook than traditional polling averages because they incorporate trader sentiment, betting behavior, and perceived risks. While polls provide a snapshot of voter intent, this market prices in expectations of the final result, influenced by recent events, campaign dynamics, and perceived momentum. Traders may weight recent shifts more heavily than pollsters, leading to divergence or alignment depending on emerging trends.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders actively set the odds through buying and selling contracts that represent each possible outcome. The current implied probability reflects the collective assessment of all participants, with prices adjusting instantly to new information and trading volume. The market’s price history and liquidity levels provide insight into how expectations are evolving as the election approaches.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the election results are verifiable from credible public reporting. The final vote tallies will determine which party receives more support, and the market will settle accordingly based on official counts. Timing depends on when authoritative sources publish the final, official results.
Key signals that could shift this market include major polling updates, debates or public appearances by leading candidates, scandals or policy announcements, and shifts in voter registration or turnout expectations. Economic data, regional issues gaining attention, and campaign strategies can also influence trader sentiment. Any development that changes perceptions of voter preferences or likely turnout has the potential to move prices significantly before resolution.
