This market tracks whether the Grüne party will win at least 7% of all valid second votes in the Sachsen-Anhalt parliamentary election. Currently, Polymarket gives a 99.8% probability to this outcome, with a 0.1% probability assigned to Grüne winning between 3% and 5% of all valid second votes. The market will resolve based on official results published on the Landtag of Sachsen-Anhalt website (https://www.landtag.sachsen-anhalt.de/). Traders should closely watch the election results as they are reported on September 6, 2026, as this date marks the end of the voting period and the beginning of the official count that will determine market resolution.
Parliamentary elections to elect the Landtag of Sachsen-Anhalt are scheduled to take place on September 6, 2026. This market will resolve according to the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) received by Grüne in the specified election. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. This market will resolve solely based on the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) won by the specified party, defined as the number of valid second votes won by the specified party divided by the total number of valid second votes in the specified election. Valid vote percentages will be counted only where the State Returning Officer of Sachsen-Anhalt (Landeswahlleiter Sachsen-Anhalt) attributes them to the aforementioned party. Vote percentages attributed to other parties or electoral designations will not count, regardless of electoral cooperation, endorsements, coalition agreements, or subsequent parliamentary-group arrangements. If the specified party formally merges into a successor party before the election and does not contest separately, the valid vote percentage of the successor party will count towards resolution. If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as published on the official website of the Landtag of Sachsen-Anhalt (https://www.landtag.sachsen-anhalt.de/).
Compared to current polling averages, this market often reflects a slightly different outlook. Prediction markets incorporate betting behavior, news reactions, and fund flows that can shift expectations beyond traditional surveys. While polls provide a snapshot of public opinion, this market adds a layer of real-time market sentiment that may diverge due to perceived risks, campaign developments, or economic factors influencing voter behavior.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders set the odds through buying and selling contracts that represent different vote share ranges. The current implied probability reflects the collective assessment of participants about Grüne’s expected performance. Market depth and liquidity can shift the price, especially around key polling updates or campaign milestones that change expectations for the party’s electoral outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the election results are verifiable from credible public reporting. The final vote share reported by official and widely trusted news sources will determine which contract — representing the correct range of Grüne’s vote percentage — settles in the market, closing all open positions based on the actual election outcome.
Several signals could shift this market before resolution: major polling updates showing gains or losses for Grüne, debates or scandals involving party leaders, economic announcements that affect voter sentiment, and campaign developments such as endorsements or policy shifts. Each of these can change traders’ expectations and move the odds, especially if they appear to alter the competitive landscape significantly as the election approaches.
