This market tracks who will become President of Andalusia after the regional parliamentary election scheduled for May 17, 2026. On Polymarket, Juanma Moreno is priced at 99.2% to be elected President by the Andalusian Parliament following the vote, while José Ignacio García stands at 0.5%. Resolution will be determined by official information from the government of Andalusia or credible reporting consensus on who is first elected to serve as President. Watch the May 17, 2026 election results and subsequent parliamentary voting to determine the outcome.
Elections for the autonomous community of Andalusia’s unicameral parliament are scheduled for May 17, 2026. The President of Andalusia will then be elected by the Parliament of Andalusia elected in this election. This market will resolve according to the first individual elected by the Parliament of Andalusia to serve as President of Andalusia following this election. Interim, temporary, or caretaker Presidents will not count. If no such President has been elected by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Andalusia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional polling averages because markets incorporate not only survey data but also trader expectations about turnout, coalition dynamics, and political negotiations. While polls measure voter preference at a single moment, prediction markets reflect real-money bets on the actual outcome, incentivizing traders to price in late-breaking developments and strategic factors that surveys may lag. Comparing the two reveals whether the market is pricing in scenarios—such as unexpected coalition formations or regional shifts—that pollsters have not yet fully captured.
The President of Andalusia after election market is scheduled to resolve on May 17, 2026. Resolution hinges on the official declaration of who assumes the presidency following the regional election and any subsequent coalition negotiations or government formation process. The market will settle once the relevant electoral authorities and regional government confirm the winning candidate and their assumption of office, ensuring that the outcome reflects the actual political result rather than interim or disputed claims.
Key catalysts include new polling releases showing shifts in voter preference, campaign announcements or candidate withdrawals, regional economic data affecting voter sentiment, and developments in coalition negotiations among parties. International or national political events may also influence Andalusian voter behavior. Media coverage of scandals, policy announcements, or debate performances can trigger rapid repricing. As election day approaches, turnout expectations and last-minute campaign momentum become increasingly important. Post-election coalition talks and negotiations over government formation represent the final phase of price discovery before market resolution.
