This is a market about the Producer Price Index (PPI) for final demand over the 12-month period ending June 2026, before seasonal adjustment, as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This market will resolve to the percentage change in the Producer Price Index (PPI) for final demand over the 12-month period ending in June 2026, before seasonal adjustment, according to the monthly Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report. The resolution source for this market will be the BLS Producer Price Index report released for June 2026 (https://www.bls.gov/ppi/), currently scheduled to be released on July 15, 2026, at 8:30 AM ET. Resolution of this market will take place upon release of the aforementioned data. Note: the resolution source for this market will be the official monthly BLS PPI news release, which reports PPI over 12-month periods to only one decimal point (e.g., 6.0%). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. This market resolves on the total PPI for final demand figure, not the core PPI figure excluding food and energy. If the BLS does not release the relevant figures on the scheduled date, this market may remain open up until the scheduled release time of the next PPI report (https://www.bls.gov/schedule). If the information is not released by that time, this market will resolve according to the figures of the most recent previous month with available data.

Prediction markets and analyst surveys often diverge because they operate on different incentives. Traders in this market face direct financial consequences for incorrect predictions, which can sharpen accuracy on specific thresholds like the 5.8% PPI level. Conversely, professional economists and consensus forecasts may smooth expectations or reflect broader ranges. Comparing the odds here to published analyst median estimates and Federal Reserve projections can reveal whether the market is pricing in more hawkish or dovish inflation dynamics than the mainstream consensus expects for June 2026.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling binary outcome shares; the current price of the "yes" share directly reflects the implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each trade updates the market price in real time, so the odds you see represent the latest consensus among active participants. The mechanism incentivizes information discovery: traders with conviction about PPI outcomes can profit by trading against mispriced shares, gradually pushing the market toward what participants collectively believe is the true likelihood of a 5.8% or lower year-over-year increase.
This market resolves around Jul 15, 2026, once June 2026 PPI data is published and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether the year-over-year percentage change in the Producer Price Index meets or falls below the 5.8% threshold. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout once the official figure is confirmed and the market is settled. Until that point, prices fluctuate as new economic data, Fed communications, and other inflation signals influence participant expectations.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before resolution. Upcoming Consumer Price Index and employment reports will shape inflation expectations and Fed policy bets, both of which feed into producer-level pricing. Any major supply-chain disruptions, energy price shocks, or geopolitical events affecting commodity costs could alter the trajectory toward June. Additionally, Federal Reserve communications on interest rates and inflation targets, wage growth data, and corporate pricing power announcements may prompt traders to reassess the likelihood of a 5.8% or lower PPI outcome. Real-time market repricing reflects these evolving signals continuously.
