Determining which specific day within a week had the highest ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz can reflect temporary surges or lulls in maritime activity. Such variations might result from weather conditions, regional events, or changes in global shipping schedules. Identifying the peak day provides a snapshot of weekly patterns in one of the world’s most critical maritime passages.
Each market resolves to Yes if the specified date (July 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, August 1, or August 2, 2026) has the highest number of transit calls through the Strait of Hormuz as reported by IMF PortWatch from July 27 to August 2, 2026. Daily counts are evaluated after the period ends, with resolution no earlier than Tuesday at 9 AM following the end of the period. If multiple days tie for the highest count, each tied day’s market resolves to 1/N, where N is the number of tied days.
Several signals could shift this market before resolution, including geopolitical developments in the region, unexpected naval activity, or changes in global oil shipping patterns. Reports from maritime authorities, shipping companies, or international news outlets may also influence trader sentiment and adjust odds as the July 27 to August 2 window approaches.
