Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) on June 17, 2026 is higher than the Close price for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) on the most recent prior trading day. This market will resolve to "Down" if the Close price for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) on June 17, 2026 is lower than the Close price for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) on the most recent prior trading day. E.g., ordinarily, a market on Monday would refer to the previous Friday for its most recent closing price, unless that Friday were a market holiday, in which case it would refer to Thursday, or the next most recent trading day. If the two specified closing prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve 50-50. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either of the relevant days has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. Only prices achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange on which the listed security trades (typically 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET) will be considered. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.OPEN%2FUSD. Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter. Any timestamp within the listed market time frame may be used to view the relevant candle data (e.g., https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.OPEN%2FUSD?t=1773432000).

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Opendoor stock price market dashboard tracks real-time odds on whether OPEN will close up or down on June 17. The interface displays current market pricing, historical price movements, and trading activity for this market. Traders use the dashboard to monitor shifting sentiment and place bets on the direction of Opendoor's stock price at market close on that date. The platform aggregates buy and sell orders to establish the live odds, giving participants a transparent view of how the market is pricing the outcome at any moment.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and collective trader intelligence rather than individual research calls. While Wall Street analysts may issue price targets or ratings based on fundamental analysis, this market prices the specific binary outcome—up or down on a single date—using continuous market feedback. Traders who believe analyst consensus is too bullish or bearish can profit by taking the opposite side, creating a dynamic that sometimes leads prediction markets to outperform consensus estimates. The odds here represent an aggregated bet across many participants with skin in the game.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that balances buy and sell orders in real time. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome—up or down—fluctuates based on order flow and the size of trades, with larger positions moving the odds more dramatically. Participants can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and the platform's pricing mechanism ensures that the sum of all outcome probabilities equals 100 percent. This continuous repricing allows the market to incorporate new information and sentiment shifts throughout the trading period.

This market resolves around Jun 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on whether Opendoor's stock price closes above or below its opening price on June 17. Once the market close data is published and verified, the platform will settle all positions accordingly. Traders who correctly predicted the direction will receive their winnings, while those on the losing side will forfeit their stake.

Several catalysts could shift odds before resolution. Earnings announcements, changes in real estate market conditions, or major company news regarding Opendoor's business strategy could trigger significant repricing. Broader market movements, interest rate decisions, and sector-wide sentiment shifts affecting real estate technology stocks may also influence trader positioning. Economic data releases, analyst upgrades or downgrades, and insider transactions could provide fresh signals. Additionally, short-term technical factors—such as unusual volume spikes or large trader positions—often drive intraday volatility and adjust the market's probability assessment closer to the settlement date.
