The future price of WTI crude oil is a key indicator reflecting global energy demand, supply dynamics, and geopolitical factors. Tracking its value on specific dates helps investors, policymakers, and industries anticipate economic trends and make strategic decisions regarding energy usage and investment.
All markets resolve based on the daily settlement price of the WTI crude oil September 2026 contract on July 24, 2026. Each market has a specific price threshold; if the settlement price exceeds the respective threshold, the market resolves to Yes, otherwise No. Settlement uses the nearest listed contract month, rolling forward to the next contract two business days before the current contract's last trading day. Contracts are named by their delivery month, not expiration date, and prices are rounded to the nearest cent. If data is unavailable for the specified date, the most recent published data determines the outcome.
