Antonio Reynoso's performance in the 2026 NY-07 Democratic primary will be measured by his certified vote share. The market tracks whether he achieves various vote percentage thresholds, from 25% up to 50%, reflecting different levels of electoral support.
Resolution is based on Antonio Reynoso's certified percentage of valid votes cast in the 2026 NY-07 Democratic primary, calculated as (total votes received ÷ total valid votes cast) × 100. Valid votes include write-in votes appearing in certified results; invalid, spoiled, or rejected ballots are excluded from both numerator and denominator. If ranked choice voting occurs, the percentage is based on the first round unless otherwise specified. Resolution uses only certified official results, not preliminary counts. If the election is cancelled, postponed beyond market expiration, or no certified results are available by expiration, the market resolves to No. If a recount changes the certified percentage before expiration, the most recent certified percentage determines resolution.
Prediction market odds and traditional polling often diverge because they reflect different methodologies and incentives. Polls capture voter sentiment at a single moment through surveys, while prediction markets incorporate real-money stakes, encouraging traders to synthesize polls, campaign dynamics, and ground intelligence into a continuous price. This market may show higher or lower odds than recent polls depending on whether traders believe public surveys underestimate or overestimate Reynoso's support. Comparing the two provides a richer picture of his primary prospects.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to Reynoso's final vote percentage outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices reflect the collective willingness of buyers and sellers to commit capital at specific levels, with tighter spreads indicating higher confidence and liquidity. As new developments unfold—endorsements, debate performances, or polling releases—traders adjust their bids and asks, causing the market price to move in real time.
This market resolves around Jun 23, 2027, following the conclusion of the New York 7th Congressional District Democratic primary election. The outcome is determined by Reynoso's actual vote share, verified against credible public reporting from election officials and established news sources. Once the final vote totals are certified and publicly available, the market settles based on the percentage of votes he received relative to all votes cast in the primary.
Several catalysts may shift trader positions before resolution. Major endorsements from local officials or national figures could boost or diminish Reynoso's perceived viability. Debate performances, campaign spending announcements, and voter turnout expectations all influence market pricing. New polling releases—especially if they show significant movement—often trigger sharp repricing. Media coverage of primary dynamics, candidate gaffes, or shifts in the broader political environment may also prompt traders to reassess his vote share prospects. Closer to election day, early voting and exit poll data typically drive final adjustments.
