Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for NVIDIA (NVDA) on June 16, 2026 is higher than the Close price for NVIDIA (NVDA) on the most recent prior trading day. This market will resolve to "Down" if the Close price for NVIDIA (NVDA) on June 16, 2026 is lower than the Close price for NVIDIA (NVDA) on the most recent prior trading day. E.g., ordinarily, a market on Monday would refer to the previous Friday for its most recent closing price, unless that Friday were a market holiday, in which case it would refer to Thursday, or the next most recent trading day. If the two specified closing prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve 50-50. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If NVIDIA (NVDA) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either of the relevant days has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. Only prices achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange on which the listed security trades (typically 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET) will be considered. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.NVDA%2FUSD. Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter. Any timestamp within the listed market time frame may be used to view the relevant candle data (e.g., https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.NVDA%2FUSD?t=1773432000).

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the NVIDIA stock price market dashboard displays real-time odds on whether NVIDIA's share price will close higher or lower on June 16. Traders can monitor the current probability, historical price movements, and trading activity as participants buy and sell shares tied to each outcome. The dashboard provides a live snapshot of market sentiment, allowing you to see how conviction around the stock's direction has shifted over time. This continuous price discovery reflects the collective forecast of prediction market participants actively trading on the platform.

Prediction market odds and traditional analyst forecasts operate on different timescales and methodologies. Analysts typically publish quarterly or event-driven price targets based on fundamental research, while this market aggregates real-time trader conviction through live pricing. Prediction markets often incorporate breaking news and sentiment shifts faster than formal analyst updates, though both sources can diverge when new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal whether the market is pricing in factors analysts have overlooked, or conversely, whether professional research suggests the market may be overweighting short-term noise.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares representing each outcome—NVIDIA up or down on June 16. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the probability assigned by the market; higher demand for an outcome pushes its price up and the competing outcome's price down. Shares are typically priced between 0 and 100 cents, where the sum of all outcomes equals one dollar. This continuous auction mechanism ensures prices adjust instantly as new information arrives and trader sentiment shifts.

This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, once the trading window closes and the June 16 market close data becomes available. The outcome is determined by comparing NVIDIA's closing price on that date to its opening price or prior close, with the result verified against credible public financial sources. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their winnings, while those on the losing side forfeit their stake. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of market close once official data is published.

Several catalysts could shift trader conviction before June 16. Earnings announcements, product launches, or guidance revisions from NVIDIA would likely trigger sharp repricing. Broader market movements—interest rate decisions, tech sector rotation, or macroeconomic data—can also influence semiconductor stocks significantly. Geopolitical developments affecting chip supply chains, competitive announcements from rivals, or regulatory news around AI and export controls could sway sentiment. Real-time news flow, analyst downgrades or upgrades, and options market activity often precede and amplify price moves in this market.
