This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) on June 2 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/NVDA/history, published under "Historical Prices."
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-time aggregated trader belief about NVDA's June 2 close, often diverging from traditional analyst price targets and consensus estimates. While sell-side analysts publish quarterly forecasts based on fundamental models, prediction markets incorporate forward-looking sentiment, earnings surprises, and macroeconomic shifts more dynamically. The market-implied probability can serve as a contrarian signal when it significantly deviates from analyst consensus, though both sources have distinct methodologies. Comparing the two provides a fuller picture of expected NVDA performance across different forecasting approaches.
The market resolves at Jun 2, 2026, following the close of regular trading on June 2. The outcome is determined by NVIDIA's official closing price on that date as reported by standard financial data sources. Once the market resolves, traders holding positions in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The binary structure means only one outcome can occur: either NVDA closes above the specified price level or it does not. Resolution is typically finalized within hours of market close.
Key catalysts for NVDA price movement include earnings announcements, data-center demand indicators, AI adoption trends, competitive pressures from AMD and Intel, and macroeconomic shifts affecting semiconductor valuations. Geopolitical developments, regulatory changes around chip exports, and major customer announcements can also drive volatility. Fed policy decisions and broader tech-sector sentiment influence the entire semiconductor complex. Supply-chain updates and guidance revisions from management represent direct company-specific triggers. Traders monitor these signals continuously, repricing the market as new information emerges. Unexpected developments in any of these areas could significantly shift the probability of NVDA closing above the specified level by June 2.
