PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms focus on determining which candidate is sworn in as Senator, aligning on the core resolution criteria.Primary resolution logic: Official New Hampshire election certification.

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves to 'Yes' if a candidate from the specified party (Democrat or Republican) is sworn in as Senator.
  • Individual candidate markets resolve to 'Yes' if that specific candidate is sworn in as Senator.
  • The 'other' candidate market resolves to 'Yes' if a candidate not listed in the individual markets is sworn in as Senator.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Tie: In the event of a tie, the market will resolve based on the official certification of the election results or a consensus call from major news sources (Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC) determining the winner.
  • Candidate Withdrawal: If a candidate withdraws before the election, the market will remain open and resolve based on the remaining candidates.
  • Independent Candidates: Independent candidates are considered separate from both Democratic and Republican options and will resolve accordingly.
Timing: The market will resolve once the official election results are certified by the state of New Hampshire, or when a consensus call is made by the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC.Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 midterm New Hampshire U.S. Senate election, inclusive of any run-offs. A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party. The candidates may be named in the contract for the convenience of traders. In the event that any named candidate is replaced as the nominee of their respective party prior to election day, the name in the contract will be updated and the market will resolve based on the replacement nominee of the party. The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.

Kalshi

The New Hampshire Senate election in 2026 determines which party will hold the seat for the term beginning in 2027. Resolution occurs when a representative of either the Republican or Democratic party is sworn in as Senator of New Hampshire for that term.

Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Each platform has a different user base with varying information and risk tolerance. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Trading volume also differs between the two, with Polymarket currently having a higher volume than Kalshi. This can create temporary imbalances in pricing. Additionally, differing market-making strategies and liquidity provisions on each platform contribute to price discrepancies. These differences don't necessarily indicate disagreement about the ultimate outcome, but rather reflect the unique dynamics of each trading environment.

Several events could significantly impact this market. Major endorsements, significant fundraising announcements, or unexpected debate performances by the candidates could all shift probabilities. Polling data releases, while already factored into the market, can cause short-term price adjustments. Any unforeseen events, such as a candidate withdrawing from the race or a major scandal emerging, would likely have a substantial effect. Changes in national political trends or economic conditions could also influence traders’ perceptions and move the market, especially given the time until Jan 4, 2027.
