Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Kalshi rely on the same core criteria: the party affiliation of the winning candidate as determined by official election results.Primary resolution logic: Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/)

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves based on the party of the candidate who wins the NC-11 House seat.
  • If a candidate has no ballot-listed party affiliation, their stated intent to caucus determines their party.
  • The FEC serves as the final authority for resolving any ambiguities or disputes.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Tie: In the highly unlikely event of a tie, the FEC's official results will be used to determine the winner and thus resolve the market.
  • Candidate Changes Affiliation: A candidate's party affiliation at the *time of the election* is what matters, not any prior affiliations.
  • Independent/Third Party Candidate: An independent or third-party candidate will be assigned a party based on their stated intent to caucus with either the Democrats or Republicans.
Timing: The markets will resolve once the FEC has officially certified the results of the NC-11 House election, expected in late 2026 or early 2027.Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.
