The event tracks natural gas pricing at a specific moment, determining outcomes based on whether the price exceeds various thresholds. It uses precise, time-bound data to settle multiple markets simultaneously, reflecting market expectations about energy costs at that exact point in time.
Multiple markets are resolved based on the closing price of a one-minute candlestick for natural gas on October 14, 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT. Each market has a unique threshold price, and if the closing price exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes.' The settlement value is rounded to the nearest three decimal places. The closing price for the candlestick at 5:00 PM EDT is defined as the price at the end of the immediately preceding one-minute interval (i.e., the candlestick timestamped 4:59 PM). If data for the specified time is unavailable, the most recently published data is used to resolve all markets. All markets share these consistent secondary rules for determination and data handling.
