The natural gas price is a critical indicator of energy market conditions, reflecting supply and demand dynamics influenced by factors such as weather patterns, industrial usage, and geopolitical events. Tracking the price at a specific future date helps stakeholders anticipate market movements and make informed decisions regarding energy procurement, storage, and investment strategies.
All markets resolve based on the closing price of the natural gas NGDV6 contract on August 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM EDT, measured from the end of the immediately preceding one-minute candlestick interval. Settlement uses the nearest listed contract month, switching to the next contract if the current one’s last trading day is approaching, specifically rolling forward five business days prior to expiry. Prices are rounded to the nearest three decimal places. If data for the specified timestamp is unavailable, the most recent published data determines the outcome. Each market has a unique threshold price; if the settlement price exceeds this threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes,' otherwise to 'No.'
