This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) on June 9 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/history, published under "Historical Prices."
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-money trader expectations, which often diverge from traditional analyst price targets and consensus estimates. While Wall Street analysts publish formal forecasts based on fundamental models, prediction markets aggregate distributed bets from participants with direct financial incentives. For the Microsoft June 9 close, comparing the market-implied probability to published analyst consensus can reveal whether traders are pricing in more optimism, caution, or uncertainty than the research community. This gap often signals where information asymmetries or disagreement exist.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing yes or no outcomes. The current market price reflects the collective probability estimate of all active traders. Prices move continuously as new information arrives and participants adjust positions, with higher prices indicating stronger conviction that Microsoft will close above the specified level on June 9. Liquidity and trading volume influence price stability and the ease of entering or exiting positions at any given time.
The market resolves on Jun 9, 2026, after the close of trading on June 9. Resolution is determined by the official closing price of Microsoft stock on that date. The outcome is binary: if MSFT closes at or above the specified price level, the yes outcome resolves to 100 cents; if it closes below, the no outcome resolves to 100 cents. All positions settle based on the final verified closing price from the primary exchange.
Key catalysts include Microsoft earnings announcements, cloud and AI revenue guidance, competitive developments in enterprise software and cloud infrastructure, macroeconomic data affecting tech valuations, and broader market sentiment shifts. Regulatory news, product launches, and management commentary on AI investments can also influence trader expectations. Additionally, movements in the Nasdaq and sector peers, changes in interest rate expectations, and any geopolitical or corporate governance events may drive repricing of the Microsoft June 9 close target before the market resolves.
