This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) on June 8 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/history, published under "Historical Prices."
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this MSFT event is priced as a binary outcome contract where traders buy and sell shares representing yes or no positions. The current market price reflects the probability that Microsoft will close above the specified price level on June 8. Prices range from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%), with higher prices indicating stronger market confidence in an above-target close. Liquidity and order-book depth determine how easily traders can enter or exit positions at any given price level.
The market resolves on Jun 8, 2026, after the close of regular trading on June 8. The outcome is determined by Microsoft's official closing price on that date relative to the specified price threshold. Once the market resolves, winning positions are credited and losing positions expire worthless. Traders should monitor MSFT price action throughout the day and be aware of any corporate announcements, earnings surprises, or macroeconomic events that could drive the stock toward or away from the target level.
Key catalysts for MSFT price movement include earnings announcements, cloud or AI product launches, regulatory developments, and broader tech sector sentiment. Macroeconomic data—inflation reports, interest rate signals, or recession fears—can shift the entire sector. Competitive announcements from rivals like Amazon or Google may also influence investor confidence in Microsoft's growth trajectory. Geopolitical events, cybersecurity incidents, or changes to enterprise spending patterns could trigger volatility. Monitor financial news, earnings calendars, and MSFT's technical levels to anticipate potential moves before June 8.
