This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) on June 5 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/history, published under "Historical Prices."
Prediction market odds reflect real-time aggregated trader expectations, while analyst forecasts represent formal price targets from financial institutions. Prediction markets often incorporate broader information faster than traditional analyst updates, capturing market sentiment and recent earnings data. Comparing Polymarket odds to consensus analyst price targets for MSFT can reveal whether traders expect the stock to outperform or underperform published guidance. Divergences may signal either market inefficiency or forward-looking trader conviction about upcoming catalysts.
The market resolves on Jun 5, 2026, after the close of regular trading on June 5. Resolution is determined by MSFT's official closing price on that date as reported by standard financial data sources. Traders holding yes shares profit if the closing price exceeds the strike level; no share holders profit if it closes at or below. Early resolution is not possible; the market remains open for trading until the end date, allowing participants to adjust positions based on intraday price action and news flow.
Key catalysts include Microsoft earnings reports, cloud computing demand trends, AI product announcements, and broader tech sector sentiment. Macroeconomic data such as inflation reports, interest rate decisions, and GDP growth can shift investor risk appetite toward or away from large-cap tech. Competitive developments in AI and enterprise software, regulatory news affecting cloud providers, and geopolitical events impacting supply chains may also influence MSFT's price trajectory. Real-time market reactions to these events will be reflected in Polymarket odds throughout the trading period.
