Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) on June 12 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard for the MSFT stock price market displays real-time odds reflecting trader expectations about whether Microsoft's stock will close above a specified price level on June 12. You can monitor the current probability, historical price movements, and trading activity on Polymarket. The interface shows how sentiment has shifted over time, helping you understand whether confidence in an above-target close is rising or falling. Volume and liquidity metrics indicate how actively traders are positioning themselves ahead of the resolution date.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money commitments from a diverse crowd of traders rather than consensus estimates from a small group of professionals. While equity analysts publish formal forecasts based on fundamental research, this market aggregates live beliefs from participants who stand to gain or lose based on the actual outcome. Comparing the two can reveal whether the market is pricing in information analysts have overlooked or whether traders are overweighting near-term volatility relative to longer-term fundamentals.

On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing "yes" or "no" outcomes, with the share price directly reflecting the implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into the "yes" side, the higher the price climbs toward 1.00, and vice versa. This continuous price discovery mechanism means odds update instantly as new information arrives or sentiment shifts. Liquidity pools and order books ensure you can enter or exit positions throughout the trading window leading up to Jun 12, 2026.

This market resolves around Jun 12, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed against credible public sources to verify whether Microsoft's stock closed above the specified threshold. Once the closing price is established and verified, the market settles automatically, and traders receive payouts based on their positions. The resolution is binary: either the condition is met or it is not, with no partial outcomes or ambiguity.

Earnings announcements, macroeconomic data releases, changes in interest rates, and shifts in cloud-computing demand can all influence Microsoft's stock price and thus this market's odds. Competitive developments, regulatory news, or major product announcements may also trigger repricing. Broader market volatility, sector rotation, or geopolitical events affecting technology stocks could accelerate movement. As the resolution date approaches, any unexpected corporate actions or market-moving news will likely drive sharp swings in trader positioning and implied probability.
