This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) on June 1 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/history, published under "Historical Prices."
Prediction market odds reflect real-money trader consensus and often diverge from traditional analyst price targets. While Wall Street analysts publish formal 12-month price forecasts based on earnings models and sector research, prediction markets price in immediate, dynamic expectations for a specific closing level on a single date. Analysts typically issue ratings and targets quarterly; prediction markets update continuously. The market odds on Polymarket may run ahead of or lag behind published analyst consensus depending on recent news flow, earnings surprises, and broader equity sentiment. Both sources offer valuable but distinct perspectives on Microsoft's near-term stock performance.
On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing "Yes" (MSFT closes above the threshold) or "No" (it does not). On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current market odds reflect the collective belief of active traders. Share prices range from $0 to $1, and your profit or loss depends on the final outcome and your entry price. Liquidity and spreads vary throughout the day; higher volume typically narrows the bid-ask gap. You can enter or exit your position at any time before market close on Jun 1, 2026, allowing you to adjust your exposure as new information emerges.
The market resolves on Jun 1, 2026 after the official close of regular trading on NASDAQ. Resolution is determined by Microsoft's closing price on that date as reported by standard financial data sources. The outcome is binary: if MSFT closes at or above the specified price level, the "Yes" outcome wins; if it closes below, "No" wins. There is no partial resolution or rounding. Once the market resolves, winning shares are credited at full value and losing shares expire worthless. Settlement typically occurs within hours of market close.
Key catalysts include Microsoft earnings releases, cloud revenue trends, AI product announcements, and competitive developments in enterprise software and cloud infrastructure. Macroeconomic data—inflation reports, interest-rate decisions, and tech-sector sentiment—can shift the broader market and MSFT valuations. Regulatory news affecting Big Tech, cybersecurity incidents, or major customer wins or losses may also impact the stock. Geopolitical events and changes in AI policy could influence investor confidence. Additionally, broader equity market volatility, sector rotation, and options expiration dynamics near June 1 may create price swings. Traders monitor these signals continuously to adjust their positions.
