Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) on July 13, 2026 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the specified day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. If the listed date is not a trading day under the applicable trading-hours schedule as listed on Pyth, this market will resolve 50-50. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.MSFT%2FUSD.

Frequently asked questions

The MSFT stock price market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for whether Microsoft's stock will close above a specified level on July 13. The interface displays current market probability, 24-hour volume of $1,533, and a price chart showing how trader sentiment has shifted since the market opened. This dashboard lets you monitor the collective forecast of prediction market participants as new information about Microsoft's business, earnings, or broader market conditions emerges. You can use these tools to compare the market's implied probability against your own analysis before placing a trade.

Prediction market odds and traditional analyst price targets operate on different timescales and methodologies. Analysts typically publish longer-term valuations and earnings estimates, while this market distills real-time trader conviction into a single probability for a specific date and price level. Prediction markets often incorporate information faster than consensus analyst updates because traders have direct financial incentive to price in breaking news. However, analyst reports provide detailed fundamental reasoning that markets may not fully reflect. Comparing the two can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to professional equity research on Microsoft's near-term trajectory.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into a continuous probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the price you see reflects the cumulative bets of all participants. As more traders buy shares predicting a yes outcome, the price rises; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as volume increases, making it cheaper to enter or exit a position. This mechanism ensures the market price always represents the marginal trader's assessment of the likelihood that Microsoft closes above the target level on the settlement date.

This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, once the trading day closes and Microsoft's final stock price is confirmed. The outcome is determined by verifying the closing price against credible public financial data sources. If Microsoft's stock closes at or above the specified threshold, the yes outcome wins; if it closes below, the no outcome prevails. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their winnings proportional to their stake, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of market close, allowing winners to withdraw funds or redeploy capital into other markets.

Microsoft's stock price and this market's odds can shift in response to earnings announcements, product launches, regulatory news, or macroeconomic data affecting the tech sector. Major cloud computing or AI developments—areas central to Microsoft's growth—often trigger sharp repricing. Broader market events, such as Federal Reserve policy shifts or changes in interest rate expectations, influence all equities including MSFT. Analyst upgrades or downgrades can catalyze trader repositioning. Intraday volatility near the resolution date may create trading opportunities as uncertainty peaks. Monitoring financial news, options market implied volatility, and peer company performance helps anticipate how this market may evolve before Jul 13, 2026.
