Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on June 17, 2026 is higher than the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on the most recent prior trading day. This market will resolve to "Down" if the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on June 17, 2026 is lower than the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on the most recent prior trading day. E.g., ordinarily, a market on Monday would refer to the previous Friday for its most recent closing price, unless that Friday were a market holiday, in which case it would refer to Thursday, or the next most recent trading day. If the two specified closing prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve 50-50. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either of the relevant days has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. Only prices achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange on which the listed security trades (typically 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET) will be considered. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.MU%2FUSD. Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter. Any timestamp within the listed market time frame may be used to view the relevant candle data (e.g., https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.MU%2FUSD?t=1773432000).

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Micron stock price market dashboard tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for whether MU will close up or down on June 17. The interface displays current implied probabilities for each outcome, allowing traders to monitor shifting sentiment as new information emerges. You can view order-book depth, recent trade activity, and liquidity metrics to understand market participation. This dashboard gives you a snapshot of how the crowd is pricing Micron's near-term directional move, updated continuously as traders buy and sell shares tied to each outcome.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money conviction rather than consensus estimates. While equity analysts typically issue longer-term ratings and price targets, this market distills crowd expectations into a binary outcome over a specific, near-term window. Traders who believe Micron will outperform or underperform on that date put capital at risk, creating odds that can move sharply on earnings surprises, sector news, or macroeconomic shifts. Comparing the implied probability here to sell-side forecasts reveals whether the market is pricing in more optimism or caution than the analyst consensus.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that pay out based on the outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share in the "Up" outcome costs a fraction of a dollar, and the current price reflects the aggregate belief that Micron will close higher on June 17. If you buy shares at a lower price and the outcome occurs, you receive the full payout, capturing the difference as profit. The order book continuously matches buyers and sellers, so prices adjust in real time as new information arrives or trading volume shifts.

This market resolves around Jun 17, 2026, once the trading day closes and Micron's final price is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether MU closes above or below its opening price on that date. No ambiguity exists in the resolution logic—it is a straightforward comparison of closing versus opening levels. Once the result is confirmed, payouts are distributed automatically to holders of the winning outcome.

Earnings announcements, guidance revisions, or semiconductor industry news can shift this market sharply. Broader tech sector momentum, memory-chip demand signals, and macroeconomic data (inflation, interest rates, GDP growth) all influence semiconductor stocks. Geopolitical developments affecting chip supply chains, competitive announcements from rivals, or major customer wins or losses can trigger repricing. Intraday volatility on the resolution date itself—driven by market opens, economic releases, or company-specific news—will determine final positioning. Traders monitor these catalysts closely to adjust their bets as conviction changes.
