Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on July 13, 2026 is higher than the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on the most recent prior trading day. This market will resolve to "Down" if the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on July 13, 2026 is lower than the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on the most recent prior trading day. E.g., ordinarily, a market on Monday would refer to the previous Friday for its most recent closing price, unless that Friday were a market holiday, in which case it would refer to Thursday, or the next most recent trading day. If the two specified closing prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve 50-50. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either of the relevant days has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. Only prices achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange on which the listed security trades (typically 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET) will be considered. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.MU%2FUSD. Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter. Any timestamp within the listed market time frame may be used to view the relevant candle data (e.g., https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.MU%2FUSD?t=1773432000).

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Micron stock direction market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for whether Micron Technology's stock price will move up or down on July 13. The dashboard displays current market probability, historical price movements, and 24-hour volume to help traders monitor sentiment and liquidity. This market aggregates predictions from traders worldwide, reflecting collective expectations about intraday price direction for the semiconductor company. You can view live odds updates and volume metrics to gauge market conviction around the outcome.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-time trader conviction rather than longer-term fundamental research. Analysts typically publish quarterly or annual outlooks, while this market prices a single-day directional move, making direct comparison difficult. However, if major analyst upgrades or downgrades emerge before July 13, traders may rapidly adjust odds to incorporate that new information. Comparing the market's implied probability to analyst sentiment can reveal whether traders are pricing in consensus views or contrarian positioning.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome—up or down—has a price between 0 and 1, where higher prices reflect greater perceived likelihood. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by correctly predicting the outcome at resolution. The continuous pricing mechanism ensures transparent, liquid discovery of the market's true belief about Micron's directional move on the specified date.

This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, once Micron's stock price movement for that trading day is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether the closing price on July 13 is higher or lower than the opening price, or by the intraday direction specified in the market's final terms. Traders holding winning positions receive their payout automatically after resolution is confirmed. The exact settlement mechanics are governed by the platform's rules and are finalized once the event data is publicly available.

Earnings announcements, product launches, or guidance revisions from Micron could significantly shift trader expectations before July 13. Broader semiconductor industry news—such as supply chain disruptions, geopolitical developments, or competitor announcements—may also influence the stock's intraday direction. Macroeconomic data releases, Federal Reserve communications, or shifts in tech sector sentiment can create volatility that traders price into this market. Real-time news flow and options market activity often precede directional moves, so monitoring financial media and related markets helps traders anticipate probability shifts.
