This market will resolve according to the official closing price for Micron (MU) on the final day of trading of the specified week (normally Friday). If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the final session of the week is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Micron (MU) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MU/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Prediction market odds often diverge meaningfully from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than single-point estimates. While equity analysts typically publish quarterly or annual targets, this market aggregates live trader conviction about a specific weekly close, capturing intraweek volatility and earnings surprises that formal forecasts may miss. Comparing the implied probability here to consensus analyst sentiment can reveal whether the market is pricing in more bullish or bearish momentum than the Street expects. This gap frequently signals where information asymmetry or sentiment shifts are emerging.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares that represent different price outcomes for Micron's weekly close. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome contract trades at a price between 0 and 1, where the price directly reflects the crowd's estimated probability. As new information arrives—earnings reports, chip demand signals, or macroeconomic data—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. The more capital flowing into a particular outcome, the higher its price climbs, creating a real-time probability estimate that updates continuously until the market resolves.
This market resolves around Jun 26, 2026, once Micron's official closing price for the week is confirmed and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by where MU actually closes on the final trading day of that week, compared to the price bands or levels defined in the market. No further action is required from traders after that date; the resolution is automatic and based on publicly available stock data. Early resolution is possible if Micron undergoes a corporate action such as a stock split or special dividend that affects the closing price.
Quarterly earnings announcements, guidance revisions, and semiconductor industry trends are the primary catalysts that could shift odds significantly. Broader chip-sector news—such as supply chain disruptions, geopolitical trade restrictions, or AI demand cycles—often moves Micron alongside peers. Macroeconomic data on inflation, interest rates, and consumer spending can also influence semiconductor valuations. Short-term technical factors, including options expiration dates and index rebalancing, may create intraweek volatility. Any major acquisition rumors, executive changes, or analyst downgrades could trigger rapid repricing in this market as traders adjust their conviction.
