Description

This market will resolve according to the Close price for Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) on the final day of trading of the week specified in the title (normally Friday). If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the relevant session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of that shortened session will be used. If the relevant day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle for Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.META%2FUSD.

Frequently asked questions

The Meta stock closing price market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for where Meta's stock will close during the week of July 20. Traders here are pricing their collective forecast of META's closing price at a specific price level or range. The dashboard displays current market odds, 24-hour volume, and order book depth, giving you a live snapshot of how the crowd is positioning ahead of the weekly close. This market reflects continuous trading activity and updates as new information emerges about Meta's business performance and broader market conditions.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they aggregate real-money bets from thousands of traders rather than relying on a handful of institutional research reports. Analysts typically publish quarterly or annual targets based on fundamental models, while this market reprices continuously as earnings reports, regulatory news, and competitive developments emerge. Prediction markets tend to react faster to breaking news and reflect a broader cross-section of market participants. Comparing the implied price from current odds to consensus analyst estimates can reveal whether traders are more bullish or bearish than the Street consensus on Meta's near-term trajectory.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares corresponding to different price outcomes, and the market price reflects the ratio of capital allocated to each outcome. Higher prices indicate stronger crowd conviction that Meta will close in that range. The platform's liquidity pool ensures continuous pricing, so you can enter or exit positions without waiting for a counterparty. Volume and bid-ask spreads on the order book show how actively traders are positioning around key price levels.

This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, once Meta's official closing price for that week is verified and confirmed. The outcome is determined by comparing the actual closing price against the predefined price ranges or levels specified in the market. Resolution relies on credible public reporting from financial data providers and official exchange records. Once the market closes and the event is verifiable, payouts are distributed to holders of the winning outcome. Traders should monitor Meta's earnings calendar and broader market events leading up to resolution to inform their positions.

Meta's stock price and this market's odds could shift significantly in response to quarterly earnings announcements, user growth metrics, advertising revenue trends, and regulatory developments affecting the tech sector. Major catalysts include changes to Apple's privacy policies that impact Meta's ad targeting, competitive pressure from TikTok or other platforms, and macroeconomic shifts affecting ad spending. Executive commentary on AI investments and metaverse strategy often influences sentiment. Broader market moves—interest rate decisions, tech sector rotation, or geopolitical events—can also drive META volatility. Traders should watch for insider transactions, analyst upgrades or downgrades, and any antitrust or legislative developments that could reshape Meta's competitive position.
