This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) on June 15 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/META/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Prediction market odds and traditional analyst forecasts often diverge because they operate on different incentive structures. Analysts publish opinions based on research and models, while prediction market participants risk real capital on outcomes, creating stronger accountability. This market aggregates the views of traders betting on Meta's stock performance, which can reflect forward-looking sentiment faster than consensus analyst estimates. Comparing the implied probability here to published price targets from major investment banks offers insight into whether the crowd is more bullish or bearish than the professional consensus. Both perspectives are valuable: analysts provide detailed fundamental analysis, while prediction markets reveal where informed traders are actually putting money.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing the outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share costs between 0 and 1 dollar, and the price reflects the probability that Meta will close above the specified level by the resolution date. As traders buy shares of a given outcome, its price rises; as they sell, it falls. This continuous repricing ensures the market remains liquid and responsive to new information. The spread between bid and ask prices represents the current uncertainty around the outcome, with tighter spreads indicating higher confidence among participants.
This market resolves around Jun 15, 2026, once Meta's closing stock price on that date becomes verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether the closing price is above or below the specified threshold. Resolution occurs after official market data is confirmed, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. No early settlement or partial resolution occurs; the market remains open for trading until the close of the resolution date. Once the price is confirmed, the winning outcome is paid out automatically to holders of the correct shares.
Meta's stock price is sensitive to earnings reports, user growth metrics, advertising revenue trends, and regulatory developments. Major product announcements, changes in AI strategy, or shifts in the competitive landscape with other tech giants can trigger sharp price movements. Broader market events—such as interest rate decisions, tech sector rotation, or macroeconomic data—also influence Meta's valuation. Management commentary during earnings calls often moves the stock significantly. Additionally, any significant changes to Meta's capital allocation, dividend policy, or share buyback programs could affect the closing price by June 15. Traders monitor these catalysts closely to adjust their positions ahead of the resolution date.
