NVIDIA's H100 GPU compute pricing will be measured throughout July 2026, tracking the hourly rental or usage cost for this high-performance processor. The monthly average will be calculated from daily hourly rates reported by Ornn.
Resolution is based on the average value of NVIDIA H100 compute per hour during July 2026, calculated as the arithmetic mean of all hourly values reported by Ornn for that month. The USD iteration of the Ornn index is used unless explicitly stated otherwise. All values are rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions made to the underlying Ornn data after the market's expiration date will not be accounted for in the final resolution.
Prediction market odds reflect real-time consensus from traders with financial skin in the game, whereas analyst forecasts typically rely on models and historical data without direct market incentives. This market aggregates dispersed information from participants betting on H100 pricing outcomes, often capturing forward-looking sentiment faster than traditional analyst reports. When analyst estimates diverge from market odds, it may signal either underappreciated catalysts or overconfidence in one view. Comparing the two can highlight gaps between expert opinion and market-implied expectations for GPU compute costs.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different price ranges or outcomes for H100 compute costs in July 2026. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Bid-ask spreads reflect the confidence and liquidity around each outcome, with tighter spreads indicating stronger consensus and deeper trading interest. As new information emerges—such as NVIDIA supply announcements, data center demand shifts, or competitive pricing moves—traders adjust their positions, causing the odds to shift in real time.
This market resolves around Aug 1, 2026, after the conclusion of July 2026. The outcome is determined by the verified monthly average compute price of NVIDIA's H100 during that period, confirmed once credible public reporting becomes available. Resolution hinges on identifying the actual pricing data from cloud providers, NVIDIA's official communications, or other authoritative sources that track H100 rental rates and compute costs during the specified month.
Key catalysts include NVIDIA's earnings reports and guidance on H100 supply and demand, announcements of new competing GPUs that could pressure pricing, major cloud provider pricing updates, and macroeconomic shifts affecting enterprise AI spending. Geopolitical developments affecting chip exports, data center capacity constraints, and shifts in AI workload adoption could all influence H100 compute costs by July 2026. Additionally, regulatory changes around AI infrastructure or unexpected supply chain disruptions could reshape market expectations and trigger significant price movements in this market.
