NVIDIA's A100 GPU compute pricing will be measured throughout July 2026, tracking the hourly rental or usage cost for this processor. The monthly average will be calculated from daily hourly rates reported by Ornn.
Resolution is based on the average value of NVIDIA A100 compute per hour during July 2026, calculated as the arithmetic mean of all hourly values reported by Ornn for that month. The USD iteration of the Ornn index is used unless explicitly stated otherwise. All values are rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions made to the underlying Ornn data after the market's expiration date will not be accounted for in the final resolution.
Prediction market odds on this market represent crowdsourced expectations from active traders, while analyst forecasts typically come from research firms and financial institutions publishing formal reports on GPU pricing. Markets often diverge from analyst consensus because they incorporate real-time information, trader conviction, and forward-looking sentiment that may not yet appear in published research. Comparing the current odds to recent analyst commentary on NVIDIA's pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and data center demand can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to expert opinion.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to different price brackets for A100 monthly average compute cost. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome bracket has its own bid-ask spread, and the platform's matching engine executes trades in real time. The probability of each outcome is derived from the aggregate volume and prices at which traders are willing to transact, creating a dynamic market price that updates as new orders flow in.
This market resolves around Aug 1, 2026, once the July 2026 monthly average compute price for NVIDIA's A100 is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the actual average pricing data against the predefined brackets offered in the market. Traders who correctly predicted the price range in which the A100 compute cost settled will receive their payout based on the final verified figure.
Key catalysts for this market include NVIDIA's quarterly earnings reports and guidance on data center pricing, announcements of new GPU architectures or competitive products, changes in cloud provider pricing for A100 instances, and shifts in enterprise AI adoption rates. Supply chain disruptions, geopolitical trade restrictions, or major customer wins could also influence perceived demand and pricing power. Additionally, broader macroeconomic conditions affecting capital expenditure budgets and competitive dynamics with AMD or other accelerator vendors may drive trader sentiment and repricing before the July 2026 settlement date.
