This market will resolve to "Up" if the Hyperliquid price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the HYPE/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/hype-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream HYPE/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Hyperliquid Up or Down event is priced as a binary contract with separate outcome tokens for Up and Down. Traders buy and sell these tokens at prices between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), with the price of each outcome reflecting its implied probability. The market price updates continuously as new trades execute, and the total volume across both sides reflects overall liquidity and interest in this crypto directional bet during the May 31 window.
The market resolves at May 31, 2026. The outcome is determined by Hyperliquid's price movement during the specified 4-hour window from 12:00AM to 4:00AM ET on May 31. Traders should monitor the exact resolution criteria and data source used to settle the contract, as these details are critical to understanding which outcome will be deemed correct. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the window closes.
Key catalysts include major crypto market moves, Bitcoin or Ethereum volatility, regulatory announcements, and Hyperliquid-specific news such as protocol updates or exchange developments. Macro events like Fed statements or equity market shocks can trigger broad crypto selloffs or rallies. Technical levels and support/resistance zones may also influence price action during the 4-hour window. Traders should watch for liquidity events, large derivative positions, and social sentiment shifts that could accelerate directional moves before the May 31 resolution window opens.
