This market will resolve to "Up" if the Hyperliquid price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the HYPE/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/hype-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream HYPE/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader expectations about Hyperliquid's directional move during that 4-hour window. These odds often diverge from simple spot price momentum because they factor in volatility, funding rates, and broader crypto sentiment. Comparing market-implied probabilities to technical analysis, on-chain metrics, or analyst forecasts can reveal whether traders are pricing in a consensus view or if contrarian positioning exists. The prediction market odds represent a crowd-sourced probability estimate distinct from any single analyst's price target.
On Polymarket, Hyperliquid Up or Down - June 4, 12:00AM-4:00AM is priced as a binary contract where each outcome has a quoted probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each side reflects the cumulative bets placed by traders; as more capital flows into the Up or Down outcome, its price adjusts upward, and the opposing side adjusts downward. Liquidity depth and recent trade flow influence how quickly prices move, and the spread between bid and ask reflects market tightness around the event window.
The market resolves at Jun 4, 2026. Resolution is determined by Hyperliquid's spot price movement during the specified 4-hour window on June 4, from 12:00AM to 4:00AM ET. The outcome depends on whether the closing price at the end of that window is higher or lower than the opening price at the start. This binary structure means traders are betting on directional price action over a fixed, short-term interval rather than on absolute price levels.
Several catalysts could shift Hyperliquid's price during this window: major crypto market moves (Bitcoin or Ethereum volatility), exchange announcements or listings, regulatory news affecting derivatives trading, funding rate spikes on perpetual markets, or large liquidation cascades. On-chain activity, whale transactions, or shifts in trading volume on Hyperliquid's own platform could also trigger directional momentum. Broader macro events—Fed statements, risk-off sentiment—and sentiment shifts in the derivatives community may influence trader positioning before and during the 4-hour event window.
