This market will resolve to "Up" if the Hyperliquid price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the HYPE/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/hype-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream HYPE/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader expectations for Hyperliquid's directional move during June 2, 4:00AM–8:00AM ET, but they differ from spot price forecasts made by analysts or derived from technical analysis. Spot price expectations typically focus on longer-term trends or intraday momentum, while this prediction market isolates a precise four-hour window. The market odds represent aggregated belief from traders willing to stake capital, whereas analyst forecasts may rely on chart patterns or fundamental analysis. Comparing the two reveals whether the prediction market is pricing in more or less volatility and directional conviction than traditional price targets suggest.
On Polymarket, the Hyperliquid Up or Down - June 2, 4:00AM-8:00AM ET event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy shares representing either an up or down outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of capital allocated to each side, with prices ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%). As traders place orders, the automated market maker adjusts prices to balance supply and demand. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as volume increases, and the market price converges toward the true probability as the event window approaches. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how efficiently prices adjust to new information.
The market resolves after the four-hour window closes at 8:00AM ET on Jun 2, 2026. Resolution is determined by comparing Hyperliquid's price at the start of the window (4:00AM ET) to its price at the end (8:00AM ET). If the closing price is higher than the opening price, the Up outcome wins; if lower, the Down outcome wins. The exact price source and handling of edge cases like flat closes are specified in the market's official resolution criteria on Polymarket. Traders should review these details before placing positions to ensure they understand how the outcome will be determined.
Several catalysts could influence Hyperliquid's price during the June 2, 4:00AM–8:00AM ET window. Broader crypto market movements, Bitcoin or Ethereum volatility, and major news about decentralized exchanges or perpetual trading platforms could drive directional bias. Hyperliquid-specific announcements regarding protocol upgrades, new features, or trading incentives may spark buying or selling pressure. Macroeconomic events, Federal Reserve communications, or traditional market opens could create spillover effects into crypto. Additionally, technical levels, liquidation cascades on the Hyperliquid platform itself, and trader positioning ahead of the window could amplify price swings. Monitoring these signals helps traders assess whether current market odds reflect the true probability of directional movement.
