This market will resolve to "Up" if the Hyperliquid price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the HYPE/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/hype-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream HYPE/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect collective trader expectations about Hyperliquid's price direction during the June 1 window, often diverging from current spot prices or analyst forecasts. While spot markets price Hyperliquid based on immediate supply and demand, prediction markets incorporate forward-looking sentiment and event-specific catalysts. Comparing Polymarket odds to real-time spot prices and analyst price targets reveals whether the market expects upward or downward momentum. These differences highlight how prediction markets can signal conviction about near-term moves that spot traders may not yet have priced in, making them a valuable signal for directional bias.
On Polymarket, the Hyperliquid Up or Down event is priced as a binary contract reflecting the probability of an up move versus a down move during the four-hour June 1 window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the contract price directly indicating the market's implied probability. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, the price adjusts to reflect updated consensus. The spread between up and down prices shows the market's conviction; a tight spread indicates uncertainty, while a wide spread suggests stronger directional bias. Liquidity and order depth on Polymarket determine how easily traders can enter or exit positions at the displayed price.
The Hyperliquid Up or Down market resolves after the four-hour event window closes on June 1 at 8:00 PM ET, with final resolution occurring by Jun 2, 2026. The outcome is determined by comparing Hyperliquid's price at the start of the 4:00 PM window to its price at 8:00 PM ET. If the price is higher at the close, the Up outcome wins; if lower, the Down outcome wins. Resolution depends on accurate price data captured at both timestamps, ensuring a clear and verifiable result for all traders holding positions in this binary event.
Several catalysts could drive Hyperliquid's price during the June 1 window. Major crypto market moves, Bitcoin or Ethereum volatility, and broad sentiment shifts often ripple through altcoins like Hyperliquid. Protocol-specific announcements, exchange listings, or updates from the Hyperliquid team could trigger directional momentum. Macroeconomic events, Federal Reserve commentary, or regulatory news affecting crypto may influence the broader market. Trading volume spikes, whale transactions, or technical breakouts near key support or resistance levels could accelerate moves. Monitoring on-chain metrics, social sentiment, and order book depth on Polymarket helps traders anticipate which way the prediction market odds might shift as the event window approaches.
