Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Hyperliquid price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds on whether the asset will move up or down during the specified four-hour window on July 5. Traders can monitor the current probability of each outcome, historical price data for the contract, and trading volume to understand market sentiment. The dashboard also shows recent trades and order flow, giving participants visibility into how other traders are positioning ahead of the resolution window. This transparency helps inform trading decisions throughout the event period.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, often diverging from analyst forecasts or historical volatility models. While spot price expectations are based on technical analysis, news flow, and market microstructure, this market aggregates real-money bets from participants who profit only if their prediction proves correct. The odds here tend to incorporate forward-looking sentiment and tail-risk pricing that traditional spot analysis may miss. Comparing the implied probability to your own conviction can reveal whether the market is pricing in tail scenarios or underweighting near-term catalysts.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares of each outcome—up or down—in an automated market maker (AMM) pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the current probability assigned by the market; as more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls. Liquidity providers earn fees on trades, while speculators profit by correctly predicting which direction will occur. The continuous pricing mechanism ensures real-time discovery of the true market consensus on Hyperliquid's price movement during the event window.

This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the four-hour trading window closes and the price movement can be verified. The outcome is determined by comparing Hyperliquid's price at the start of the window to its price at the end; if it closes higher, the up outcome wins, and if it closes lower, the down outcome wins. Verification is confirmed against credible public price data from major exchanges. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout automatically once the result is finalized on the platform.

Major catalysts include announcements from the Hyperliquid team, regulatory news affecting derivatives trading, shifts in broader crypto market sentiment, and macroeconomic data releases during the window. Technical levels and support/resistance zones can trigger algorithmic trading and cascade moves. Funding rate spikes, liquidation cascades, or large whale transactions on the underlying exchange may also drive sharp directional moves. Social media momentum, competitor announcements, or changes in exchange fees or features could influence trader positioning. Monitoring on-chain metrics, order book depth, and implied volatility will help traders gauge conviction and timing around the event.
