This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the HYPE/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the HYPE/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/futures/HYPEUSDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance HYPE/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds reflect trader expectations about HYPE's price direction by May 31, 8AM ET, which may diverge from current spot prices or near-term technical signals. While spot price reflects the asset's value right now, the prediction market incorporates longer-term sentiment, event risk, and macro catalysts over the next several months. Comparing market-implied probabilities to analyst price targets or on-chain metrics can reveal whether traders are pricing in more upside or downside than consensus expects. This gap often signals where informed traders see asymmetric opportunity.
On Polymarket, HYPE Up or Down - May 31, 8AM ET is priced as a binary contract where each outcome token trades against the other. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market uses an automated market maker model, so prices update continuously as traders buy or sell shares. Liquidity and order flow determine how quickly prices move; larger trades can shift the implied probability more than smaller ones. You can enter or exit your position at any time before May 31, 2026, and your profit or loss depends on where you bought relative to the final settlement price.
HYPE's price direction by May 31 could be influenced by major crypto market moves, regulatory announcements, protocol upgrades, or shifts in broader macroeconomic sentiment. On-chain metrics like whale accumulation, exchange inflows, or developer activity may signal conviction among informed participants. Competing token launches, partnership news, or changes in DeFi yield opportunities could also redirect capital flows. Traders should watch Bitcoin and Ethereum trends, Fed policy signals, and HYPE-specific developments. Unusual volume spikes or social media momentum can sometimes precede directional moves, though prediction markets ultimately aggregate all available information into current odds.
