The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance HYPE/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader conviction about an outcome, whereas spot prices on crypto exchanges show the current market rate for HYPE itself. This market's odds indicate what traders believe will happen to the token's price by the deadline, while the live spot price shows where HYPE is trading right now. The two can diverge: spot price may be volatile intraday, but this market's odds settle only on the closing price at the specified time, so traders often price in expected volatility and directional bias separately.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares of the Up and Down outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one outcome, and the price of each reflects the crowd's belief in its likelihood. As traders enter positions, the bid-ask spread tightens or widens based on order flow and liquidity. The current odds are derived from the ratio of shares held and the platform's automated market maker mechanics, ensuring prices adjust in real time as new information or sentiment emerges.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the event window closes and the HYPE token's price at that moment is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the closing price to the opening price on July 6 at 9PM ET: if HYPE closes higher, the Up outcome wins; if it closes lower or flat, Down wins. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the deadline as the data is confirmed and the platform finalizes payouts.
Major catalysts include announcements from the HYPE team, regulatory news affecting the broader crypto market, Bitcoin or Ethereum price swings, and shifts in trading volume or whale activity. Macroeconomic events—Fed statements, risk-on or risk-off sentiment—often ripple through altcoins. Social media momentum, exchange listings or delistings, and technical chart patterns can also trigger rapid repricing. Traders monitor these signals continuously, adjusting odds as new information arrives, so this market can experience sharp moves in the final hours before the July 6 deadline.
