This event divides the possible HYPE price range into specific bands on July 8, 2026 at 5pm EDT, allowing traders to bet on which price range HYPE will fall within. Resolution uses the same CF Benchmarks methodology as other HYPE markets.
Resolution is determined by the simple average of CF Benchmarks' HYPEUSD_RTI over a 60-second window immediately preceding 5 PM EDT on July 8, 2026. Each outcome represents a distinct price band, and exactly one outcome resolves to Yes based on where the averaged price falls. If data is unavailable or incomplete at expiration, affected outcomes resolve to No. The CF Benchmarks Real-Time Index provides continuous pricing aggregated from major cryptocurrency exchanges.
Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader conviction about where HYPE will trade at a defined future moment, whereas spot price represents current market value. This market's odds incorporate forward-looking sentiment, volatility expectations, and event risk that may not be fully priced into today's spot rate. Comparing the two reveals whether the prediction market is pricing in bullish or bearish moves relative to present levels. Traders often use this divergence to identify whether consensus expects significant price movement or relative stability through the resolution date.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each HYPE price range outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each range contract trades independently, and the sum of all range probabilities reflects the market's full price distribution. Bid-ask spreads tighten as volume increases, and prices update in real time as new orders flow in. This structure allows traders to express granular views about where HYPE will settle and to adjust positions dynamically as new information arrives.
Major catalysts for this market include HYPE token announcements, regulatory developments affecting the broader crypto market, macroeconomic shifts in risk appetite, and Bitcoin or Ethereum price movements that often drive altcoin sentiment. Exchange listings, partnership news, or technical upgrades to the HYPE protocol could trigger sharp repricing. Broader market events—such as Federal Reserve policy changes or geopolitical developments—may also influence trader positioning. Monitoring on-chain metrics, social sentiment, and competing projects helps traders anticipate directional moves before resolution.
