This event divides the HYPE price range into specific bands on July 4, 2026 at 5pm EDT, allowing traders to bet on which price range HYPE will fall within at that exact moment using CF Benchmarks data.
Resolution is based on the simple average of CF Benchmarks' HYPEUSD_RTI over 60 seconds immediately preceding 5 PM EDT on July 4, 2026. Each outcome represents a distinct price range, and exactly one outcome resolves to Yes based on where the averaged price falls. If data is incomplete or unavailable at expiration, affected outcomes resolve to No. The CF Benchmarks Real-Time Index provides continuous pricing aggregated from major cryptocurrency exchanges.
Prediction market odds on this contract reflect trader conviction about HYPE's price range at a future date, whereas spot prices represent current market value. Odds incorporate forward-looking sentiment, potential catalysts, and risk premiums that spot trading may not fully price in. When this market shows high probability for a particular range, it suggests traders expect stable conditions or specific price drivers to materialize. Comparing these odds to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to broader sentiment in the crypto community.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and asks for each price range outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform converts these orders into implied probabilities displayed as percentages, allowing traders to buy or sell shares at real-time rates. As new information surfaces or market conditions shift, participants adjust their positions, which moves the odds up or down. This mechanism ensures prices reflect the collective judgment of active traders and adapt dynamically to breaking news or technical developments affecting HYPE.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed by verifying HYPE's price against credible public sources. The specific price range bracket that contains the token's value at that exact moment determines the winning outcome. Once the settlement time passes and the price is established, the market locks and payouts are distributed to holders of the correct range. All traders holding shares in the winning bracket receive their proportional payout based on the final odds at which they entered.
Major regulatory announcements, macroeconomic shifts, and developments within the HYPE ecosystem can significantly influence trader expectations and shift odds. Network upgrades, partnership news, or changes in broader crypto market sentiment may trigger repricing across all range brackets. Volatility spikes in Bitcoin or Ethereum often correlate with altcoin movements, so monitoring those assets provides early warning signals. Additionally, on-chain metrics such as transaction volume, holder concentration, and developer activity can shape medium-term price expectations and move this market as traders reassess their conviction in each outcome bracket.
