This event tracks the social media activity of an organization over a specified period, focusing on the quantity of their posts, quote posts, and reposts. The outcome depends on whether the activity falls within certain thresholds, providing insight into their engagement levels during that time.
The event resolves based on the total number of posts, quote posts, and reposts (excluding replies) made by @wef on X during the period from Sep 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET to Sep 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET. Each market corresponds to a specific range of post counts, and the market with the matching range will resolve to Yes. Resolution will be determined using the X API, which is called every five minutes and includes deleted posts if they were posted long enough to be captured. All ranges are inclusive of their upper and lower bounds. A third-party tracking page is provided for informational purposes only and does not override the X API data for resolution.
Comparing prediction market odds to analyst forecasts reveals how collective intelligence stacks up against expert opinion. For this market, it’s important to consider whether analysts’ predictions align with the expectations of traders on Kalshi. If there’s a significant difference, it could indicate that the market is anticipating factors not fully captured by traditional analysis, or that traders have access to unique information. Discrepancies can also highlight potential biases in either the market or the analyst community regarding the WEF’s social media activity.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The current market price indicates what traders are willing to pay for exposure to a particular outcome regarding the number of WEF posts on X this week.
This market resolves around Sep 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on a count of official posts made by the verified World Economic Forum account on X (formerly Twitter) during the specified week. The final number of posts will be determined by an objective count, ensuring a transparent and verifiable result for this market. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their chosen outcome was correct.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Any official announcements from the World Economic Forum regarding their social media strategy or planned activity on X would be a key catalyst. Unexpected news events impacting the WEF’s public image or requiring a response on social media could also drive trading activity. Furthermore, major shifts in the broader social media landscape or changes to X’s platform itself might influence the WEF’s posting behavior, impacting the price of this market.
