Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) on June 4 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and implied probability for whether Google stock will close above a specified price level on June 4, 2026. It displays the current market price, 24-hour trading volume of $6,757, and historical price movements so you can monitor how sentiment shifts as the event date approaches. The odds reflect aggregated trader positions and are updated continuously during market hours, giving you a live snapshot of what prediction market participants believe about Google's closing price on that date.

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional analyst price targets and consensus estimates. While Wall Street analysts publish formal June 2026 price forecasts based on fundamental models, prediction markets incorporate real-time sentiment, options positioning, and trader conviction. The market odds may run ahead of or lag behind analyst consensus depending on recent earnings, macro conditions, and breaking news. Comparing the two reveals whether traders are more bullish or bearish than the professional consensus on Google's near-term trajectory.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing yes (Google closes above the threshold) or no (it does not). The contract price reflects the collective probability estimate of all active traders. As new information emerges—earnings reports, regulatory news, or market-wide volatility—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. The final settlement on Jun 4, 2026 is determined by Google's official closing price on that date.

The market resolves on Jun 4, 2026 after Google's stock market close. The outcome is determined by comparing Google's official closing price on June 4, 2026 to the specified price threshold. If the closing price is above the threshold, the yes outcome wins; if it closes at or below the threshold, the no outcome wins. Resolution typically occurs within hours of market close once the final price is confirmed through official financial data sources.

Key catalysts include Google's quarterly earnings reports, announcements in AI and cloud computing, regulatory developments affecting big tech, changes in advertising demand, and macroeconomic shifts impacting growth stocks. Management guidance, competitive threats from rivals, and shifts in interest rates all influence investor sentiment toward Google. Additionally, broader market volatility, geopolitical events, and tech sector momentum can drive the stock price closer to or further from the specified threshold. Traders monitor these signals continuously to adjust their positions ahead of June 4.
