Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) on June 30 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Frequently asked questions

The Google stock price market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for whether GOOGL will close above a specified threshold on June 30. Traders buy and sell shares representing yes or no outcomes, with the current market price reflecting the collective probability estimate. The interface displays order-book depth, recent trade volume, and settlement details, giving participants a transparent view of how the market is pricing this equity event.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they aggregate real-time trader conviction rather than periodic research updates. While equity analysts publish target prices based on fundamental models, this market reflects dynamic, continuous repricing as new information emerges. Traders with skin in the game may react faster to earnings surprises, macroeconomic shifts, or competitive developments than consensus forecasts. Comparing the two reveals whether the crowd is more bullish or bearish than the Street consensus on Google's near-term trajectory.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling binary outcome shares in an automated market maker or order-book system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the yes or no outcome, and the market price—ranging from 0 to 1—reflects the implied probability. Liquidity providers and speculators continuously adjust their positions based on new information, technical levels, and broader market sentiment, ensuring the price remains responsive to real-world developments affecting Google's stock.

This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The yes side wins if GOOGL closes above the specified price level on that date; the no side wins if it closes at or below. Resolution is typically verified using official exchange data and financial news sources, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all participants.

Quarterly earnings announcements, revenue guidance, and management commentary on AI investments and cloud growth are primary catalysts for this market. Regulatory developments, competitive pressures from other tech giants, macroeconomic conditions affecting ad spending, and broader equity-market volatility can also shift trader sentiment. Technical levels, options expiry dates, and index rebalancing may create short-term momentum. Geopolitical events or changes in antitrust scrutiny could introduce material repricing as well.
