Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) on June 16 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Google stock price market dashboard displays real-time odds on whether GOOGL will close above a specified price level on June 16. Traders can monitor the current probability, historical price movements, and trading activity to understand how market participants are pricing this outcome. The dashboard provides transparency into the collective forecast, allowing users to track shifts in sentiment as new information emerges. This snapshot of live trading data helps participants assess conviction levels and compare their own views against the broader market consensus on Google's stock performance.

Prediction market odds reflect real-money bets from traders with direct financial incentives to forecast accurately, often diverging from traditional analyst price targets. While Wall Street analysts publish consensus estimates based on fundamental research, this market aggregates dispersed information and risk appetite from many participants. Prediction markets tend to update faster in response to breaking news, earnings surprises, or macroeconomic shifts. Comparing the two reveals whether professional analysts and market traders align on Google's near-term stock trajectory, or whether one group is pricing in risks the other has overlooked.

On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing "yes" or "no" outcomes, with the current price reflecting the probability that Google closes above the threshold. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price continuously adjusts based on order flow, with each trade moving odds toward equilibrium. Liquidity providers set initial spreads, and competitive trading tightens them over time. As the resolution date approaches, prices typically converge toward either zero or one hundred, reflecting increased certainty about the outcome.

This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on Google's official closing price on that date, verified against established financial data sources. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout once the outcome is finalized and the platform settles all positions. Early resolution is possible if the event is called before the scheduled end date based on available evidence.

Quarterly earnings announcements, changes in interest rates, shifts in tech sector sentiment, and regulatory developments can all influence Google's stock price and thus this market. Major product launches, competitive threats, or macroeconomic data releases may trigger repricing as traders reassess the likelihood of the target price being reached. Broader market volatility, shifts in advertising demand, or geopolitical events affecting tech stocks could also drive significant moves. Traders monitor these catalysts closely to identify mispricings and adjust positions ahead of resolution.
