Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) on July 6 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Frequently asked questions

The Google stock price market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for whether GOOGL will close above a specified threshold on July 6. The interface displays current implied probability, 24-hour trading activity, and order book depth, allowing traders to monitor sentiment shifts as market participants buy and sell shares. This dashboard provides a transparent view of how the prediction community is pricing the likelihood of the outcome, updated continuously as new trades execute throughout the trading window.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money incentives and live market consensus rather than periodic research updates. While equity analysts publish quarterly or event-driven forecasts, this market aggregates continuous trader conviction about a specific closing price on a fixed date. Prediction markets tend to incorporate breaking news and intraday momentum faster than formal analyst revisions, making them a complementary signal for investors seeking near-term directional views on stock performance.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that pay out based on the outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the event's resolution, and the current market price reflects the collective probability estimate. Prices move as new information arrives and trader sentiment shifts, with the bid-ask spread indicating the level of disagreement among participants. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices adjust to new catalysts or earnings announcements.

This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the trading window closes and the outcome is verified against credible public sources. The resolution hinges on whether GOOGL's official closing price on that date meets or exceeds the specified threshold. Traders should monitor official exchange data and company announcements leading up to the deadline, as intraday volatility and after-hours moves can influence final settlement. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of market close.

Quarterly earnings reports, product announcements, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic shifts can all drive significant price swings in this market. Broader tech sector momentum, changes in interest rates, and competitive pressures from AI or cloud rivals may influence Google's stock trajectory. Insider trading disclosures, activist investor activity, or major partnership news could also trigger rapid repricing. Traders should watch financial news, SEC filings, and market sentiment indicators closely as the resolution date approaches.
