This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-06T11:15:00Z

Currently, it's important to note that this market's predictions are based solely on the collective wisdom of traders on Predict. Comparing these odds to external analyst forecasts reveals how the crowd’s expectations align with, or diverge from, professional opinions. Often, prediction markets can offer a different perspective than traditional polls or expert analyses, potentially identifying overlooked factors or biases. It’s a valuable exercise to see how this market’s probabilities stack up against those published by financial news outlets and commodity analysts.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the gold price will move up or down. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective probability assigned to each outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price effectively represents the implied probability of gold increasing in value during the specified timeframe. Higher prices indicate a stronger belief in an upward movement, while lower prices suggest a greater expectation of a decline.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the change in the gold price between 6:15 AM ET and 6:30 AM ET on November 6th. An increase in price will determine the 'Up' outcome, while a decrease will determine the 'Down' outcome. The precise price data used for verification will be sourced from publicly available financial data feeds, ensuring a transparent and objective assessment of the result.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Unexpected economic data releases, such as inflation reports or employment figures, often impact gold prices. Geopolitical events, including international conflicts or trade negotiations, can also drive investor sentiment towards safe-haven assets like gold. Furthermore, changes in interest rate expectations from the Federal Reserve or other central banks could trigger price movements. Any news related to major gold-producing countries or significant shifts in currency exchange rates might also affect trading activity in this market.
