This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-05T22:45:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may provide point estimates or ranges for gold's price movement, this market aggregates the collective wisdom of many traders, representing a probability distribution of potential outcomes. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see this market anticipate shifts in sentiment before they are fully reflected in mainstream financial analysis, offering a potentially leading indicator of market expectations.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the gold price will move up or down. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective judgment of all participants, and the implied probability of each outcome is derived from the contract prices. This dynamic pricing mechanism differs from static polls or surveys, offering a more nuanced and responsive view of market sentiment regarding gold.
This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the change in the gold price during the specified timeframe – 5:45PM to 6:00PM ET on November 5th. An increase in price will result in a payout for those who predicted 'Up,' while a decrease will favor those who predicted 'Down.' The precise price change will be verified against reliable financial data sources to ensure an accurate and transparent outcome.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before Nov 5, 2026. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or employment figures, often impact gold prices. Geopolitical events, including unexpected political instability or shifts in international trade relations, can also drive demand for gold as a safe-haven asset. Furthermore, statements from central banks regarding monetary policy, especially concerning interest rates, frequently affect investor sentiment towards gold. Unexpected news regarding major gold-producing countries or significant shifts in currency exchange rates could also move the market.
