Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-05T05:30:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may provide point estimates or ranges for gold’s price movement, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, representing a probability distribution of potential outcomes. It’s common to see discrepancies, as prediction markets can react more quickly to new information and incorporate a wider range of viewpoints than typical analyst reports. This difference highlights the unique insights available through forecasting mechanisms like this market, offering a distinct signal compared to conventional financial analysis.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the gold price will be up or down at the specified time. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The higher the demand for contracts predicting an increase, the higher the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds are constantly adjusting to incorporate new information and changing sentiment among traders. The current market reflects the collective judgment of participants on Predict.

This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the change in the gold price during the specified 12:30AM-12:45AM ET window on November 5th. An increase in price will result in a payout for those who predicted “Up,” while a decrease or no change will result in a payout for those who predicted “Down.” The final price movement will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider to ensure accuracy and transparency.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before Nov 5, 2026. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or employment figures, often impact gold prices. Geopolitical events, including international conflicts or political instability, also tend to drive investment towards gold as a safe-haven asset. Unexpected announcements from central banks regarding monetary policy, like interest rate changes, could also cause substantial price movements. Finally, shifts in investor sentiment, potentially triggered by news headlines or analyst commentary, can contribute to volatility in this market.
