Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-04T15:30:00Z

Currently, the collective wisdom of traders in this market offers a distinct perspective compared to traditional analyst forecasts. While many analysts are providing predictions on gold’s trajectory, this market represents a dynamic aggregation of individual beliefs, weighted by the amount of capital at stake. Discrepancies often arise due to differing methodologies, biases, and access to information. It’s important to note that prediction market odds reflect what traders believe *will* happen, not necessarily what they *expect* to happen, leading to potentially different insights than traditional surveys or reports.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the gold price will go up or down. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, creating the implied probability you see on the dashboard. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market efficiently incorporates new information as traders react to news and events, constantly adjusting their positions and influencing the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the most up-to-date collective assessment of the potential gold price movement.

This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the change in the gold price between 10:30 AM ET and 10:45 AM ET on November 4th. The market will determine whether the price increased or decreased during that 15-minute window, and payouts will be awarded accordingly to those who correctly predicted the direction of the price movement. The final price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider.

Several factors could significantly impact this market before Nov 4, 2026. Unexpected economic data releases, such as inflation figures or employment reports, often drive gold price movements. Geopolitical events, including shifts in international relations or unexpected conflicts, can also create safe-haven demand for gold. Furthermore, statements from central bank officials regarding monetary policy, particularly interest rate decisions, have a substantial influence. Any surprise announcements or developments in these areas are likely to cause volatility and shifts in the odds within this market.
